This position is responsible for testing of clinical and research samples, performing instrument maintenance, performing quality control procedures, maintaining appropriate documentation within the guidelines of the quality management program, and other duties that further the delivery and science of laboratory medicine. This position reports to the UFHPL SHCC Core Laboratory Supervisor. The position requires certification and State of Florida licensure in one of the following specialties: Chemistry, Hematology, Serology. This position resides in the UF Health Pathology Laboratories (UFHPL) system and will provide services at several locations, including mainly at the UFHPL Student Health Care Center Core (SHCC) Laboratory, SHCC Point-of-Care testing sites, and the UFHPL main Core Laboratory. Periodic specimen collection by venipuncture is included in daily duties. The Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking motivated individuals to perform the duties of a Medical Technologist I.
